A special Troop 51 “Thank You” to Elizabeth Brady and Mark Bouma…

Elizabeth Brady and Mark Bouma awarded for their contributions to Troop 51 and Scouting at the
annual District Awards and Eagle Recognition Dinner.

During the 2010 District Awards and Eagle recognition dinner, two of Troop 51’s very active adult leaders were awarded for their contributions to Troop 51 and Scouting. Elizabeth Brady received our unit's "Spark Plug Award". This Award is given to the adult in a unit who keeps the "Fire" lit and things moving along. Elizabeth has served as our advancement coordinator and she is also very active at the District level serving on the Eagle Advancement Committee.

Mark Bouma received the
"District Award of Merit". This Award is given to adult leaders who not only serve at the Troop or Pack level but at the District level as well.  It is one of the highest awards given by the district and there are only 6-8 of these awarded each year in our District. Many of you know how much Mark does for our Troop but he also is very active with the OA and is a Unit Commissioner for several Cub Scout Packs. If that's not enough he finds time to help out the Girl Scouts as well.
